Ndrekë Shkjezi was born on June 4, 1922, in Shkodër.

He co-founded the State Theater in 1947 and acted there until the 1980s.

He took his first film role in 1953 with ‘Skënderbeu’ (Skanderbeg). Later, he appeared in popular Albanian films and plays such as ‘Cuca e Maleve’ (The Highlands Girl), ‘Prefekti’ (The Prefect), ‘Një Djalë dhe Një Vajzë’ (A Boy and a Girl), ‘Radiostacioni’ (The Radio Station), and ‘Shoku Ynë Tili’ (Our Mate Tili).

Ndrekë Shkjezi passed away in 2000. He received the “Naim Frashëri” Order and earned the title “Merited Artist” in 1989 for his artistic work.
