PM Rama: Reviewing Higher Education Law, We Offer Youth a Competitive Choice

Prime Minister Edi Rama joined today’s presentation of the Accreditation Board’s report on higher education institutions.
The meeting focused on transforming higher education to meet the challenges of the digital era. Rama said this gathering aimed to assess the board’s four-year work, which he described as intense and valuable. He praised the board’s contribution and thanked its members for their commitment.
According to the Prime Minister, the board has collected a significant volume of data and experience. It now serves the academic community, higher education institutions, and the government bodies that oversee this sector.
“I want to thank the board members, Albanian and foreign professionals active in European academic circles. They have offered their knowledge, dedication, and professional integrity to our country,” Rama said.
He also underlined that the summary presented shows clear progress. However, much work remains to be done.
As Albania moves forward, Rama said the world moves faster. Therefore, young people in Albania need a serious and competitive academic offer. He stressed that this is especially important as Albania prepares for EU membership.
“We must push forward with strength. We must address all pressing issues without delay. This also means reviewing the Higher Education Law. It’s time for a revision, considering how much has changed in the academic world,” PM Rama concluded.
