Opera Festival “Ramë Lahaj & Friends” Opens with a Tribute to Nexhmije Pagarusha

Last night, the outdoor space of the National Library of Kosovo transformed into a stage for a magical evening. The audience enjoyed the opening of the “Ramë Lahaj & Friends” International Opera Festival.
The festival began with a tribute concert dedicated to the legendary singer Nexhmije Pagarusha.
Renowned artists such as Egyptian mezzo-soprano Gala El Hadidi, Edona Reshitaj, Adhurim Grezda, and Arbëresh performers, accompanied by the Gent Rushi Group, delivered an emotional and memorable performance.
Under the motto “Dreams Without Borders, Opera Without Walls,” the festival emphasized unity through art. The evening left a lasting impression on the citizens of Pristina.
“The capital is proud to support this special event, which promotes our culture, talent, and musical heritage on the international stage,” wrote Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama on social media.
The festival will continue with performances by numerous internationally acclaimed artists. It will reach its peak on the night of August 2 at Skënderbeu Square in Pristina. On this occasion, the RTSH Symphony Orchestra will perform for the first time in collaboration with “Ramë Lahaj & Friends.”
