The Academy of Security held a memorial today for Arben Zylyftari. He was a senior State Police officer who died in the line of duty 25 years ago.

Deputy General Director of the State Police Sokol Bizhga attended the ceremony. Other senior police officials, Academy Director Ilirjan Mandro, and Zylyftari’s family were also present.

In their remarks, Bizhga and Mandro honored Zylyftari’s bravery. They praised his actions during a confrontation with criminal elements. They said his memory will live on and remain part of the State Police legacy.

Zylyftari’s wife and son spoke with emotion. They remembered him with love and expressed thanks to the police for honoring his sacrifice.

At the end of the ceremony, participants placed wreaths at his bust. The State Police continues to honor those who gave their lives to protect others.
