US Embassy Shares Statement: Albania and Western Allies Stand Against Iran’s Threats

The United States, Albania, and several Western countries have issued a joint statement condemning threats from Iranian intelligence services.

The U.S. Embassy in Tirana shared the statement today, quoting U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

“We stand united with our European partners in opposing Iran’s intelligence services, which attempt to kill, kidnap, and intimidate people in Europe and North America,” Bruce declared. “These actions clearly violate our sovereignty. We condemn the rising number of such threats and remain committed to working together to prevent them”.

In the joint declaration, the following countries joined the United States: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

These nations jointly condemned the increasing state-sponsored threats from Iranian intelligence agencies on their territories.

“We are united in rejecting Iran’s attempts to target individuals through murder, abduction, and harassment,” the statement reads. “Such actions are direct violations of our sovereignty”.

Moreover, the statement emphasized that Iranian services are increasingly collaborating with international criminal groups. Their targets include journalists, dissidents, Jewish citizens, and both current and former officials across Europe and North America.

“This is unacceptable,” the countries asserted.

The declaration concludes by urging Iranian authorities to immediately stop these illegal activities. It also reaffirms the allies’ shared determination to prevent such acts from happening again.
