Elisa Spiropali, Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, congratulated Dimal Basha on his election as the new Speaker of the Assembly of Kosova. She posted on social media, praising the Assembly of Kosova for opening the path to building new democratic institutions after the elections.

Spiropali added that she looks forward to resuming close, fraternal cooperation between the assemblies of Albania and Kosova. She emphasized the cooperation would serve citizens, support Euro-Atlantic integration, and protect the rights of Albanians in the region.

Dimal Basha, a member of the Vetëvendosje Movement, secured the position in the 58th attempt to constitute the Assembly. The proposal received 73 votes in favor, 30 against, and 3 abstentions. He won the necessary support with votes from some deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosova, the Alliance for the Future of Kosova, and part of the minority groups. The Democratic League of Kosova and the Serbian List voted against him.

The election followed a Constitutional Court decision resolving the political deadlock. This marked the fourth session in which MPs approved Dimal Basha as the new Speaker of the Assembly of Kosova.
