Mother Teresa’s Spirit Shines Through Art in Prishtina

Prishtina’s Mother Teresa Square glows with art. Over 30 artists from the region gather to celebrate her 115th birthday. The exhibition pulses with life and tribute. It’s a collaboration between Artists for Artists and Shqiptaria. Together, they create a space to honor a global humanitarian.

Painters and sculptors from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and the Presheva Valley share their vision. The theme? Freedom. Expression. Open to all.

Veton Gucia, head of Artists for Artists, speaks with passion. He recalls how Mother Teresa’s image sparked hope before Kosovo’s darkest days. Her face opened doors worldwide.

“This exhibition is more than art,” Gucia says. “It is memory, identity, and freedom. It teaches our youth who we are and what we stand for.”
