Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani expressed condolences to the people of Portugal after a tram accident in Lisbon killed at least 15 people.

In a post on X, Osmani said Kosovo stands with its Portuguese friends. She wished a speedy recovery to the injured and sent sympathy to the families of the victims.

“Our hearts and solidarity are with President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Prime Minister Luis Montenegro, and the people of Portugal,” Osmani wrote.

The Portuguese government has declared a day of national mourning.
