President Vjosa Osmani received the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Kosovo, Luigi Bianco, in a meeting today. This marks Bianco’s first official visit to Kosovo.

President Osmani congratulated him on the new role and expressed confidence that the visit will strengthen ties between Kosovo and the Holy See.

She praised the opening of Kosovo’s Mission in the Vatican as a key step in bilateral relations. Osmani also said that recognition of Kosovo’s independence would further deepen cooperation with the Holy See.

During the meeting, Osmani recalled her visit to the Vatican and her memorable audience with the late Pope Francis. She described that moment as a milestone in building mutual respect and friendly relations.

President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to continue working with the Holy See under the leadership of Pope Leo. She emphasized Kosovo’s dedication to peace, interfaith dialogue, and the promotion of universal values such as solidarity and humanity.
