Tourism in Albania continues to drive the national economy. In the first six months of 2025, foreign tourists spent around €2.1 billion. This marks a 7.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Bank of Albania.

Albania welcomed 4.7 million foreign visitors in the first half of 2025, up 5% year-on-year, data from INSTAT shows. Visitors choose Albania for its beautiful beaches, scenic mountains, historic cities, warm hospitality, and traditional cuisine.

Albanian travelers also spent more abroad, reaching €1.3 billion, a 7.5% rise from last year. However, the travel balance remains positive, with a surplus of €800 million, reflecting tourism’s strong export potential.

Tourism now runs year-round. It generates significant income and promotes Albania as a sustainable and all-season destination.
