President Osmani Meets EU’s Kallas in New York, Calls for Removal of Sanctions on Kosovo

Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani met with EU High Representative Kaja Kallas in New York, where both are attending the High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly’s 80th session.
In a statement, Osmani said they discussed the latest developments in Kosovo and the region. She emphasized the need for the EU to lift what she called “unjust measures” against Kosovo, stressing that these measures harm citizens.
“In New York, I met EU High Representative Kaja Kallas to discuss recent developments in Kosovo and the region. EU integration remains one of our top state priorities. I reiterated the need to remove the unjust EU measures against Kosovo, which are harming all our citizens without exception. Kosovo remains committed to peace and long-term stability,” Osmani writes.
