Suspicions in Kosova over Drones from Serbia, Hoxha: Situation Monitored in Contact with KFOR

The Director of Kosova Police, Gazmend Hoxha, stated that in recent days there have been suspicions of drone flights entering from Serbia into the northern part of the country. He confirmed that the police remain in constant communication with KFOR and are closely monitoring the situation.
Hoxha explained that such movements could pose risks for the border area but stressed that citizens of Kosova are not under threat, as the police are committed to their protection. He added that, alongside KFOR, other international partners have also been notified of the developments.
“Our suspicion is that drones have flown from Serbian territory into northern Kosova. The police are in direct contact with KFOR, and we are monitoring what steps can be taken. While this could be dangerous for the border, it does not endanger our citizens. They are protected by us. Airspace remains under KFOR’s responsibility, and both KFOR and our partners have been informed,” Hoxha declared.
The statement was made following the destruction of several illegal weapons in Prelez, Ferizaj.
