Albanian Government allocates 31.75 million lek for EU-Western Balkans Investment Forum organization

Tirana, October 2 – The Council of Ministers approved an additional fund of 31,753,000 lek. The money will cover expenses for the EU-Western Balkans Investment Forum. The event will take place in Tirana on October 13-14, 2025.
The fund was added to the 2025 government budget under the item “Subsidies,” program 01320 “Government Services.” The Directorate of Government Services will manage the allocation.
This will be the first EU-Western Balkans Investment Forum in Tirana. The European Commission supports it. The forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation and investment opportunities. Participating countries include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. EU member states will also take part.
The forum is a strategic step for the region’s economic integration with the EU. It will attract foreign direct investment. It will promote innovation. It will accelerate economic integration in the Western Balkans. The initiative aims to foster sustainable economic development across the region.
