Tirana, October 16 – The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, announced that the Nation’s Road will be toll-free for 24 hours on Friday, as Tirana prepares for tomorrow’s rally in support of former Kosova Liberation Army leaders held in The Hague.

The rally, titled “Freedom Has a Name – Justice for the Liberators,” will take place on October 17 at 17:00 in Skanderbeg Square. Balluku shared the announcement on social media, calling for unity in the name of justice, dignity, and the truth about Kosova’s liberation war.

A similar protest organized by KLA veterans took place in The Hague on September 14.

The head of the KLA Veterans Organization, Hysni Gucati, said on October 14 that former Albanian President Alfred Moisiu and Democratic Union for Integration leader in North Macedonia, Ali Ahmeti will address the rally. He also noted that 60 buses will depart from Kosova to Tirana for the event.

Former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi remain in custody in The Hague, where their trial on war crimes and crimes against humanity continues. All four have denied the charges.
