The drone was developed by the company *Future Minds Academy* in Gjilan.

Kurti wrote on Facebook that this marks an important step toward developing the defense and drone manufacturing industry.
He said that the future of defense and combat drone technology is also advancing in Kosovo.

“Our country is becoming a producer. ‘Made in Gjilan’ joins ‘Made in Kosova’,” Kurti stated.
The kamikaze drone “K1” reaches a top speed of 180 km/h and a height of up to 2,500 meters.
Meanwhile, “Skifteri” can fly up to 5,000 meters, has an operational range of 20 km, and a speed of 270 km/h.

“We have invested in defense and security by purchasing drones such as Bayraktar TB-2, Puma, and recently, the kamikaze drones Skydagger, from our friendly and partner states,” Kurti added.
“Now, we are producing combat drones ourselves.
As a government—both at the central and local levels—we will continue to support capacity building and production.
We will not stop investing in defense and security.”
