Strasbourg Turns Red and Black Against KLA Leaders’ Trial

TIRANA, November 17 – Thousands protested today in Strasbourg, France, outside the Council of Europe, defending former Kosova Liberation Army (KLA) leaders facing trial at the Hague’s Special Court.
The UÇK Veterans Organization delivered 285 letters to Council of Europe Assembly members, raising concerns over the trial.
OVL UÇK Chairman Hysni Gucati said citizens protested to denounce injustice. He accused the Hague court of using fabricated witnesses sent by Serbia. He added, “The court punishes not only KLA leaders but the entire Albanian nation”.
Organizer Ervin Muja said the leaders are imprisoned not for crimes but for Kosovo’s freedom cause. He added that united Albanians cannot be broken by any court.
Diaspora veteran Fatmir Koci stressed that justice must be impartial and free of hidden agendas. Protesters also submitted letters, including from Drenas Mayor Ramiz Lladrovci.
