Inva Mula and Genc Tukiçi bring French music and Shkodra “jare” to the stage

“Voyage” was the title of the weekend concert at the “Migjeni” Theatre. Soprano Inva Mula and pianist Genc Tukiçi performed together. First, they filled the stage with emotion. Then, the audience rose to their feet in long applause for the two internationally known Albanian artists.

President Bajram Begaj attended the concert. Moreover, he watched the performance alongside Shkodra’s mayor, Benet Beci. Their presence added further importance to the evening.

The repertoire offered an elegant blend. On one side stood iconic French melodies. On the other stood the soulful “jare” of Shkodra. As a result, the concert created a musical journey that linked Parisian elegance with Shkodran spirit.

Under the direction of maestro Elda Laro, the Shkodra Symphony Orchestra delivered a refined performance. In addition, the “Prenk Jakova” Polyphonic Choir added depth and harmony. Together, they proved once more that Shkodra remains a vibrant artistic center. Guests included Isabele Eve Poro and singer Glerdit Turmetaj.

After the concert, Inva Mula spoke about her connection to Shkodra. She said she wants to continue artistic projects in the city. Furthermore, she expressed her wish to help create a festival in Shkodra, just as she founded one in Korça nine years ago.

Pianist Genc Tukiçi also praised the city. He said that even a daily concert would feel too little. According to him, the hall carries exceptional warmth and energy.
