Durrës Turns Red and Black for National Holidays

Durrës turns red and black ahead of the national holidays on November 28 and 29.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today images of the “Veliera,” lit in red and black. This architectural landmark creates a new public space for pedestrians in the coastal city.
The “Veliera” is part of the Durrës Tourism Development Plan 2030. The project aims to transform the city into a modern tourism and cultural hub. It seeks to position Durrës as a contemporary destination and a vibrant cultural center.
Decorations for the November Holidays have become a tradition in Durrës and across Albania.
Streets and squares in the coastal city now display red-and-black flags. Municipal structures are also installing festive decorations for the end-of-year celebrations.
