Tirana Art Weekend brings together over 70 artists across the capital

TIRANA, November 29 – Tirana Art Weekend has turned the capital into an open-air art venue as its second edition unfolds across the city. Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja said the event, which began on 27 November, extends through more than 17 dedicated spaces presenting 33 mini-exhibitions, premieres, new artistic programmes and live performances by over 70 artists.
He said the programme encourages public participation, widens access to contemporary art and strengthens cooperation among independent visual-arts actors, aiming to support creative capacity, improve understanding of the art market and reaffirm Tirana’s institutional role in the national and international cultural scene.
Gonxhja invited citizens not to miss the event, noting satisfaction with the financial support provided by the ministry and the availability of spaces for creators, informal groups and art organisations. The initiative, moving through artistic spaces, cultural organisations and local communities, aims to reflect the energy of Albania’s contemporary art scene and bring together voices from the independent arts ecosystem.
