Begoña Oro, winner of the Cervantes Chico 2024 award and author of over 100 books for children and young adults, visited the “Asim Vokshi” High School of Foreign Languages. She met students from the Spanish language club.

The author spoke about her literature, books, and stories. She explained how an idea transforms into a story and how her characters connect with young readers’ daily lives.

The talk was moderated by Rudina Çupi, also a poet and author of children’s books. It was part of the FELT festival currently taking place in Tirana.

The activity, organized with the Spanish Embassy in Albania, became an open discussion about writing. Students learned how a story travels from a blank page to the reader’s heart. They explored the magic of reading in a foreign language as a way to enter new cultures.

The discussion also highlighted the role of students in reading clubs. They share books, emotions, and gradually learn to write their own stories.
