To mark its 113th anniversary, the Albanian Post, together with the Central State Film Archive, organized a special event titled “History of the Albanian Post: Documentary Exhibition”.

The exhibition celebrates the creation of Albania’s first postal administration. It showcases the historical development of the Albanian Post.

5 December is one of the most important dates in the history of the national postal service. The event highlights the role of the Albanian Post in building the country’s administration. It also presents rare archival and philatelic materials, which serve as important evidence of national identity.

At the opening, Albanian Post Administrator Etjen Xhafaj and several Members of Parliament attended.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until 12 December. It includes an informative guide about the displayed materials.

During the event, the documentary “105 Years of Albanian Stamps” was shown. The film traces the development of Albania’s postal system from its creation to today. A collage of archival film materials also illustrated the work of postal, telegraph, and telephone services over the years, prepared by the Central State Film Archive.
