Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani met today with France’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot.

They discussed the latest developments in Kosovo and the upcoming early national elections on 28 December. Osmani stressed the importance of a smooth electoral process and adherence to the highest democratic standards, noting that Kosovo already sets an example.

The meeting also covered the swearing-in of newly elected municipal mayors, including those in northern Kosovo, a process completed today.

President Osmani highlighted the urgent need to lift EU measures, which she called unjust and harmful to all citizens.

Furthermore, she reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to strengthening intergovernmental partnerships with France. The talks also addressed other mutual interest issues.
