TIRANA, December 8 – The European Festival of Literature, FELT 2025, took place in Tirana over the past five days.

European Union Ambassador to Albania Silvio Gonzato praised the work, cooperation, and shared vision this event brought to Tirana’s cultural life.

In his speech, the ambassador said these days created an exceptional space for dialogue. Meanwhile, they built bridges between cultures and experiences. These bridges reflect the richness of a united and diverse Europe.

He added that he felt honored to participate in the “Architecture of Thought.” This initiative aims to contribute to “the Europe we want and the Europe where Albania belongs.”

Gonzato thanked the writers, publishers, moderators, and translators. He described them as true bridges between cultures.

In addition, he thanked the embassies of France, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Greece, and Croatia. These embassies doubled their participation in the festival this year.

The ambassador offered special thanks to the Italian Institute of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, and the Ministry of Education for their ongoing support.

Finally, Ambassador Gonzato emphasized that FELT could become a lasting reference point for Tirana’s cultural life. He highlighted the importance of this European dialogue in bringing Albania closer to the European family.
