“Nutcracker” Returns with New Show on 22 December

“The Nutcracker” continues to captivate audiences every year. Its magical story draws viewers who return year after year.

Originally, the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet scheduled six performances on 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, and 30 December. However, high demand led the theatre to add an extra show on 22 December.

The magic of “The Nutcracker,” a sweet Christmas tale, has won the hearts of art lovers. As a result, ticket requests soared, prompting the additional date.

Meanwhile, on 21 December at 19:00, the theatre will hold an open dress rehearsal for the public. Admission is free. TKOB says this event will give audiences a special opportunity to experience the magic before the curtain rises and to see the artists’ work, dedication, and emotion up close.

“The Nutcracker” is a classic two-act ballet. It features Tchaikovsky’s iconic score and tells the magical story of a young girl, Clara. On Christmas Eve, she receives a Nutcracker doll that comes to life. The doll battles the Mouse King and guides Clara to the Land of Sweets.
