“The distinguished Radio Tirana commentator, the unique voice of Albanian football, who spoke in difficult and historic days, a master of words and a rare professional, accompanied generations with his voice, a professor and a good friend, respected by all for the mark he left, passed away after living as a deeply loved person,” Duka wrote.

Furthermore, Duka added: “Rest in peace, Ismet Bellova. Your unforgettable voice and your dignity will live on in the hearts of those who grew up listening to you. I will always remember you with respect and affection.”

Meanwhile, Ismet Bellova passed away at the age of 91. He stood among the most well-known and emblematic figures of Albanian sports journalism.

Throughout his career, he became one of the most distinctive and historic voices of the Albanian microphone. He commented on dozens of sporting events that shaped Albania’s sports history.
