TIRANA, December 30 – The War Veterans Organization of the Kosova Liberation Army held tributes at the Adem Jashari Memorial Complex in Prekaz on Veterans Day.

Hysni Gucati, chair of the organization, honored former Kosova Liberation Army leaders who remain in The Hague. He said the celebration is incomplete without those who fought for Kosova.

Gucati criticized institutions for delaying the Law on War Values. He recalled that 34 years ago, the Jashari family faced Serbian paramilitary forces in Prekaz. Their stand marked the beginning of organized armed resistance by the Kosova Liberation Army.

Gucati extended greetings to all veterans, families of fallen fighters, and war invalids. He emphasized their role in securing Kosova’s freedom and independence.

Veterans Day commemorates the sacrifice and dedication of Kosova Liberation Army members. The law designates December 30, 1991, as the start of resistance led by the Jashari family in Prekaz.
