Ina Kosturi, Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Arts, has won the Grand Prize in the “Original Composition” category at the fourth season of the Saint-Saëns International Music Competition in England. She received the award for her work Violin Concerto for Violin and Orchestra. Moreover, she ranked first across all competition categories for 2025.

An international jury of leading figures from the music world evaluated the competition. This achievement highlights the high level of Albanian talent. It also sets a new benchmark for classical music in the country.

The Saint-Saëns International Music Competition serves as a global platform that recognises excellence in musical performance, composition, and academic research. It operates under the World Online Music Competitions Organisation, which publishes jury panels, winners, and interviews with Grand Prize laureates.

Ina Kosturi is the first Albanian artist to receive an honour at WOMCO competitions. She follows a series of international successes in Slovenia, Vienna, Malta, and Switzerland. She has also taken part in events in Hartford, USA. Furthermore, the renowned Viennese music publisher Universal Edition has published her works and featured them in the Winter Catalogue 2024–2025.
