Osmani receives NATO commander in Naples: Commitment to regional security

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani today received Admiral George M. Wikoff. He commands NATO’s Joint Force Command in Naples. He recently took office at one of the Alliance’s most important strategic commands.
During the meeting, President Osmani congratulated Admiral Wikoff on his new role. She expressed confidence in his leadership. She highlighted the command’s key role in Euro-Atlantic security, regional stability, and international peace.
The president reaffirmed Kosovo’s gratitude to NATO and the United States. She thanked them for their decisive contribution to peace and security since 1999. She gave special recognition to the KFOR mission as a deterrent force and a guarantor for all citizens without distinction.
Osmani confirmed Kosovo’s commitment to continued cooperation with KFOR. She said Kosovo remains a reliable partner for regional security and stability. She stressed the country’s strong dedication to peace, democracy, and the rule of law. In this context, she also warned of risks from destabilizing actions by Serbia, including attacks on KFOR soldiers in Banjska and the Ibër–Lepenc canal.
