Osmani receives credentials of Estonia’s new ambassador to Kosovo

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today received the credentials of Estonia’s new ambassador to Kosovo, Karin Anna Maandi.
President Osmani welcomed Ambassador Maandi and congratulated her on her appointment. She said she believes the ambassador’s mandate will further strengthen relations between Kosovo and Estonia.
Osmani expressed gratitude for Estonia’s continued, principled, and vocal support for Kosovo’s independence and sovereignty. She also thanked Estonia for supporting Kosovo’s position in the international arena. She stressed that Kosovo remains consistently aligned with European Union policies.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed deeper cooperation in several fields. These included defense, digitalization, e-government services, cybersecurity, and Euro-Atlantic integration. They also addressed other areas of mutual interest.
On regional security and stability, President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to peace and stability in the Western Balkans. She thanked Estonia for its contribution to European security.
She also praised Estonia’s ongoing support for Kosovo’s European aspirations. She highlighted support for Kosovo’s EU candidate status and for membership in the Council of Europe.
