The Albanian passport continues to improve its global ranking. It now stands at 43rd place on the Henley Passport Index. It allows Albanian citizens to travel to 121 destinations without a visa.

The Agency for Media and Information said today that in 2013 Albanians could travel visa-free to 88 countries. By 2025, the number reached 121 destinations. This marks an increase of 33 countries.

“This progress means more freedom of movement for citizens,” the agency said. “It also reflects stronger diplomatic relations, simpler travel procedures, and fewer administrative barriers.”

According to historical data from the past 20 years, the Henley Passport Index is the only ranking of its kind based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The index covers 199 passports and 227 travel destinations.

The index updates every month. It serves as the standard reference for citizens and governments when assessing a passport’s global mobility.
