TIRANA, January 15 – The National Film Center and the University of Arts signed their first cooperation agreement to provide financial and professional support for student film productions.

The agreement, signed yesterday by National Film Center director Jonid Jorgji and University of Arts rector Erald Bakalli, ensures practical involvement for students in acting, directing, set design, and other film disciplines during production.

The National Film Center said the partnership allows students to develop a professional portfolio and projects ready for the start of their careers. Further agreements will expand industry-focused programs.

A student session followed, presenting the center’s education program, study grants, professional opportunities, and Chevening scholarships from the British Embassy in Albania.

Jorgji highlighted the importance of developing cinematography in Albania and linking film with the creative economy, tourism, and the country’s image.
