Priority on supporting handicrafts and cultural tourism

TIRANA, January 20 – The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, visited the Krujë Bazaar, where he met with artisans and local entrepreneurs.
Gonxhja emphasized that supporting handicrafts, local businesses, and cultural tourism remains a key priority. This approach aims to ensure sustainable development, create jobs, and promote Albania as a destination with strong cultural roots and significant tourist potential.
Artisans and entrepreneurs at the bazaar preserve national identity through their work. They showcase authentic “Made in Albania” products to both local and international visitors.
The Krujë Bazaar retains its historical and architectural value, featuring cobblestone streets that lead to the city’s castle.
The bazaar represents the heart of Krujë. It attracts visitors year-round who are drawn to its vibrant atmosphere and variety of souvenirs. Those interested in handcrafted goods can also witness traditional weaving techniques in the bazaar’s shops.
