US Embassy representatives visit new KosovaPress premises

Representatives of the United States Embassy in Pristina visited the new premises of the KosovaPress News Agency today. Agency leaders welcomed them.
During the visit, the guests reviewed the agency’s new professional and technological capacities. KosovaPress activated these systems after moving into the new space. Officials also discussed efforts to strengthen editorial standards and reporting quality.
KosovaPress leaders presented their strategic vision, ongoing projects, and future plans. They focused on modernising information services, expanding digital platforms, and increasing cooperation with local and international partners.
KosovaPress is Kosovo’s first news agency and one of the country’s oldest media institutions. It was founded on January 4, 1999. The agency maintains a strong role in the media landscape. It remains a trusted source for collecting, producing, and distributing news content for domestic and international media and for its clients.
After years of lobbying, KosovaPress became a full member of the Association of Balkan News Agencies – Southeast Europe in 2017. It later hosted the General Assembly and held the presidency in 2021–2022, while also serving on the board. In 2022, the agency joined the European Alliance of News Agencies. This step expanded its cooperation with European news organisations.
