Albania and France Approve Cinematic Co-Production Agreement

Albania and France have approved a co-production agreement for cinema.

Tourism, Culture, and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja said the agreement aims to encourage and facilitate co-productions between producers in both countries.

Moreover, the agreement sets the conditions for works to qualify as co-productions. It defines financial contribution percentages and establishes requirements for artistic and technical participation.

Gonxhja emphasized that accepted works will be considered national in both countries. They will receive the same legal and financial benefits as local productions.

In addition, the soon-to-be-signed agreement outlines approval procedures, administrative facilitation, rules for presenting co-productions, and the creation of a joint commission to monitor its implementation.
