Prime Minister Rama extends greetings to muslim believers for the Holy Month of Ramadan

Prime Minister Edi Rama wished all Albanian Muslims a blessed Ramadan today.
“Happy Ramadan! I wish you an easy and accepted fast,” Rama said, greeting believers who begin fasting tomorrow for 30 days.
Tomorrow, Muslims around the world start the blessed month of Ramadan — one of the main pillars of Islam.
Fasting is a command from God and a core duty of the faith. It strengthens both the spirit and the body. It also brings emotional balance and social harmony.
Muslims mark the beginning of Ramadan with the sighting of the new moon. This moment connects believers everywhere in faith and unity.
During the month, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset — from suhoor to iftar. They refrain from food, drink, and other physical needs. Ramadan is a time for prayer, reflection, charity, and the reading of the Qur’an.
The month promotes values of compassion, cooperation, and kindness. It encourages giving, empathy, and care for those in need.
Beyond its spiritual meaning, fasting also builds stronger communities. It brings people together and inspires generosity.
