TIRANA, February 20 – Kosova’s President Vjosa Osmani met United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the United States Department of State.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen relations between Kosova and the United States. Osmani said the talks focused on concrete steps that directly affect the people of Kosova.

She thanked Rubio for including Kosova in the Peace Board. She also acknowledged continued United States support for Kosova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. In addition, she described the United States military presence in Kosova as an important factor for regional stability.

The two officials also addressed Kosova’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Furthermore, they reviewed opportunities to expand cooperation in the economy and defense sectors within their strategic partnership.

In a Facebook post, Osmani said Kosova and the United States remain aligned in efforts to protect peace and support a secure future for younger generations.
