Krusha Madhe Marks 27th Anniversary of 1999 Massacre

Krusha Madhe commemorates today the 27th anniversary of one of the most tragic events of the Kosovo War. The village honors civilians killed by Serbian forces, including women, children, and the elderly.
On March 25–27, 1999, Serbian forces killed 243 civilians in this Rahovec village. They also burned and destroyed 893 homes.
The massacre ranks among the worst crimes against civilians during the war. Serbian military, police, and paramilitary forces carried out widespread violence across Kosovo.
Commemorative events and memorial ceremonies will take place today. Citizens and officials are expected to attend.
The Rahovec Municipality has planned several activities to mark the anniversary. The events will cover affected villages, including Brestoc, Fortesë, Cëlinë, Krusha Madhe, Retinë, Opterushë, Pastasel, Nagac, and Hoçë e Vogël.
