North Macedonia deputy minister Sulejmani says Albanian students will be allowed to take law exam in Albanian

TIRANA, May 19 – North Macedonia Deputy Education Minister Driton Sulejmani also serves as spokesperson for the “VLEN” coalition. He said Albanian students will be able to take the law examination in the Albanian language. He spoke during a live interview on the programme RTSH “3D” with Alban Dudushi.
He said the government took responsibility after the first student protest. He added that a government commission of experts is working on a legal solution. It aims to enable the exam in Albanian. He also said students met First Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali and two co-chairs of “VLEN”.
Meanwhile, Sulejmani said the issue is not new. He said Albanian students have taken the law exam in Macedonian since independence. He said the situation has remained unchanged over the years.
In addition, he said the government work extends beyond this issue. He said authorities are also working on solutions for other professional exams. He noted that these exams are currently available only in Macedonian.
