Kruja Museum, a must-visit for foreigners in Albania

Foreign tourists have made the “George Kastrioti Skanderbeg” Museum in Kruja an essential stop during their tour of Albania, and the city also attracts local visitors.

The Director of the Historical and Ethnographic Museum of Kruja, Mehdi Hafizi, speaking for the Albanian News Agency says that there had been a high influx of local and foreign visitors to the museum in the first six months of the year.

He specified that from January to June, the museum had been visited by around 70,000 local and foreign visitors.

Hafizi noted that a significant number of Polish tourists had visited the museum. Over 10,000 Poles had visited the museum during 2024, and considering the rising trend, they were expected to constitute the highest number of foreign visitors to this museum for the year.

He added that Portuguese tourists had also visited the museum. The number of tourists from Portugal was expected to be high this year due to the increase in direct flights from Tirana Airport to Portugal.

Hafizi mentioned that around 5,000 Polish tourists had visited the city of Kruja in June alone. The museum had also sparked interest among tourists from Italy, China, Spain, and others.

The National Museum “George Kastrioti Skanderbeg” continues to be one of the most visited museums in Albania.
