Albania and Kosovo Strengthen Cooperation on Border Security

Petrit Malaj visited the National Center for Border Management in Pristina on Monday.
He met officials from Kosovo’s Ministry of Interior and border management department. He also held talks with the leadership of the Border Management Center.
Both sides discussed continued institutional cooperation between Albania and Kosovo. They focused on integrated border management and information sharing.
Officials presented how the system operates 24/7 to coordinate border security institutions.
Malaj praised the professionalism of Kosovo’s border management staff. He said the center represents a modern regional model for coordination and security.
He confirmed Albania’s commitment to support joint projects. He said the goal is to strengthen cross-border cooperation and improve security against illegal activities.
The delegation also visited operational units and observed daily border management work.
