Rama: For the First Time in Albania, Brazilian Cultural Week

Following several successful weeks of the International Cultural Weeks project, Albania will host Brazilian artists for the first time.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a video on social media announcing the start of the Brazilian Cultural Week, which will take place from June 21 to June 29. This marks the first inclusion of Brazilian artists in the activities of the Cultural Weeks.
“Join us to experience the energy and unique culture of Brazil,” wrote Prime Minister Rama on his social networks.
The Brazilian Cultural Week will kick off with a Brazilian Poetry Night, a rare experience blending the beauty of poetry and prose with the perfect sounds of the piano.
On June 24, the “Camerata Balcanica” harp concert will be held, featuring a program that includes some of the most beautiful pieces of Brazilian music. On June 25, the Brazilian film “Behind the Sun” will be screened at the Millennium Cinema.
The 2001 film “Behind the Sun,” directed by Walter Salles and inspired by Ismail Kadare’s novel “Broken April,” portrays the life of a poor family in rural Brazil.
These and other cultural activities of Brazilian Week promise to bring many emotions to the audience.
