Blendi Gonxhja, Albanian Minister for Economy, Culture, and Innovation, participated in the Steering Committee meeting of the EU4Culture Program, supported by the EU Delegation and implemented by UNOPS.

Gonxhja states in a social media post that during the meeting, they discussed the transformation and revitalization of cultural heritage sites with historical value. The goal is to preserve all original elements of the sites while applying innovative methods.

“We also reviewed the progress of many ongoing projects, coordinating responsibilities, operational tasks, and technical and administrative solutions,” Gonxhja writes.

These restoration projects, not only preserve cultural heritage but also create new opportunities for the economic and social development of local communities, Gonxhja adds.

“Collaboration with UNOPS and the EU is key to achieving these objectives, bringing the necessary expertise and resources to successfully implement these projects,” concludes Gonxhja.
