Cooperation Pact Between the General Directorate of Archives (DPA) and the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The General Directorate of Archives (DPA) has formalized a cooperation pact with the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This accord, spearheaded by the Director-General of Archives, Ardit Bido, and his Bosnian counterpart, Danijela Mrda, aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and documents of mutual interest.

Under this commitment, both entities will collaborate on organizing joint exhibitions covering shared topics, participate in scientific and professional conferences, and jointly prepare collections of documents for publication. Bido emphasized that this agreement is geared towards advancing collaborative archival practices, ensuring adherence to international standards. Meanwhile, Mrda sees it as an opportunity to tackle future challenges and reshape perspectives on archival methodologies.

Operationalizing the principle of reciprocity, the DPA and its Bosnian counterpart will exchange specialists to facilitate collaborative research and study of archival materials, all without cost. The agreement holds a validity of 5 years, with the possibility of extension beyond this period.

In tandem with its 75th-anniversary commemorations, the DPA also inked a cooperation deal with the State Archival Service of Ukraine, focusing on sharing documentation related to the role of Albanian migrating community in Odessa.
