The inauguration of the artwork “Albanian Key” took place in the city of Shkodër, created by artist Alfred Mirashi Milot and declared the winner of the International Competition “Art in Public Space.” The artist himself was present at the inaugural ceremony.

This monument, placed in Bixhisteni Square, not only embellishes the urban environment but also carries a deep and universal message, such as the value of hospitality and warmth that Shkodër has embraced over the centuries.

“Shkodër, one of the oldest cities with a rich cultural heritage in Europe, is a suitable place for this monument,” writes the Shkodër Municipality’s online page.

The curator of this sculpture, Albert Vataj, expressed that this conceptual work, placed at the entrance of Shkodër, will also be part of the expansion and re-conceptualization set that is being done at the city’s entrance.
