Skopje students visit Tirana, Gonxhja says Albanian youth strengthen cultural ties

TIRANA, June 9 – Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Blendi Gonxhja received students from the “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje during a visit to Tirana. The visit also included Albania’s Ambassador to North Macedonia Denion Meidani and took place at the National Museum “House of Leaves”.

Meanwhile, the minister held an open discussion with the students on culture, heritage, and the role of young people in strengthening ties among Albanians wherever they live. He said such meetings create new opportunities for exchange of experiences, cooperation, and the building of lasting bridges between younger generations.

In addition, Gonxhja underlined the importance of culture and heritage in reinforcing connections within the Albanian community across the region. He reiterated the role of youth in this process.

“These meetings create new opportunities for exchange of experiences, cooperation and the building of lasting bridges between younger generations,” he said.

At the same time, discussions covered the possibility of expanding cooperation with the National Youth Agency. The focus included joint programmes that promote mobility, youth participation, cultural exchanges, and projects that strengthen links among Albanian youth in the region.

Finally, Gonxhja thanked the “Mother Teresa” University, Ambassador Denion Meidani, and the students for their energy, interest, and engagement. He said investment in youth represents investment in the future and in a more connected, cooperative, and stronger Albanian space.
