The tax administrations of Albania and Kosovo have strengthened their strategic cooperation to modernize tax systems and improve institutional efficiency.

The Director General of the Albanian Tax Administration, Ilir Binaj, visited Pristina. He met the Director of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, Mentor Hyseni, and his management team.

The two sides discussed key areas of cooperation. They focused on revenue collection strategies, taxpayer communication, and enforced collection procedures.

They also exchanged practices on managing unpaid tax obligations. In addition, they worked on improving tax compliance and administrative performance.

Mentor Hyseni praised the cooperation between the two institutions. He said the exchange of expertise helps both administrations address shared challenges.

Meanwhile, Ilir Binaj confirmed Albania’s readiness to deepen cooperation. He stressed the importance of sharing best practices and strengthening coordination.

Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to joint activities. They aim to improve performance, enhance tax compliance, and provide better services to taxpayers.
