Croatian Ambassador: Thaçi Conviction Would Not Help Kosovo’s Image

Croatian Ambassador to Albania Zlatko Kramarić said today that Kosovo should accept the Special Court’s decision on Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, regardless of how painful it may be.
Speaking to the media, Kramarić said a conviction of Thaçi would not help Kosovo’s image.
“We need to look at both sides. On one side, there is the Thaçi case, and on the other, there is Kosovo. For Kosovo’s image, it would not be good for Thaçi to be convicted. Whatever the decision, Kosovo is not responsible for it. I hope the process has not been political, but fair,” Kramarić said.
Kramarić served as Croatia’s first ambassador to Kosovo after the country declared independence. At the time, Hashim Thaçi served as Kosovo’s prime minister.
