Rey Manaj Reacts to Hague Verdict Against Former KLA Leaders

Albania national team striker Rey Manaj reacted on social media after the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague delivered its verdict against former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders.
On September 16, the court delivered its first-instance judgment against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
The court found all four guilty of criminal offenses linked to war crimes. It sentenced them to a combined 81 years in prison.
Following the verdict, Manaj shared a photo of the KLA emblem on social media. He also posted a message about sacrifice and freedom.
“The KLA is not just a name in history. It represents a sacrifice that must never be forgotten and a freedom that did not come for free,” Manaj wrote.
Manaj, who plays for Sivasspor, also shared a photo from his goal celebration against Serbia in a World Cup qualifying match.
