Archaeologists have made a new discovery in Qesarat, Tepelena, during an Albanian-Italian archaeological expedition led by the Institute of Archaeology, part of the Academy of Sciences of Albania.

The Albanian and Italian teams are conducting field research across Qesarat to identify, document and study traces of the area’s archaeological heritage. Through their joint work, the researchers aim to shed further light on the historical and archaeological wealth of the Tepelena region.

Meanwhile, Report TV has featured the expedition’s work in the field, highlighting the latest discoveries and the efforts of the Albanian-Italian archaeological team.

In addition, the Academy of Sciences said that researchers are documenting the findings as part of broader efforts to study, identify and preserve Albania’s cultural heritage.

The Qesarat discovery adds to ongoing archaeological research across Albania. At the same time, the expedition highlights the role of international scientific cooperation in advancing research into the country’s archaeological and historical heritage.
