Tirana is hosting the SEEDS International Convention, held under the project “Strengthening Entrepreneurship Economic Development Sustainably in South Adriatic Area.” The opening ceremony on September 23 brought together Deputy Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Marinela Prifti, representatives of the European Union Delegation in Albania, the Joint Secretariat, project partners and cultural sector representatives from across the region.

The convention aims to strengthen links between cultural and economic stakeholders across the South Adriatic. It promotes cooperation, innovation and sustainable development across borders. The programme also focuses on the Network of Balkan Theatres, which seeks to connect performing arts institutions and professionals through networking, artistic exchanges and cross-border projects.

Meanwhile, the programme has continued with World Cafe sessions, business-to-business meetings and cross-border networking activities. These activities provide opportunities to establish new partnerships, exchange experience and develop joint project ideas.

The SEEDS project receives co-financing from the Interreg IPA South Adriatic programme, with Albania’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports serving as lead partner.
